The brackets have been released. Time to fill them out.
My latest NCAA Tournament Notes are updated. I correctly predicted 35 of 37 at-large
teams chosen by the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee. I was a little surprised to see USC in there and very surprised
to see VCU.
I've also created some tables showing the best and worst tournament teams by the numbers.
This analysis includes only the 50 teams seeded 1 through 12. Sorry, Oakland.
In Trends Analysis Part I I examined the performance of participants in the NCAA
Tournament based on seeding, RPI, team records in the past 10-12 games, road and neutral court record, conference
tournament fatigue and experience. The page now contains data through the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
In Trends Analysis Part II I examined the performance of participants in the NCAA
Tournament based on team statistical data such as field goal percentage, defensive field goal percentage, free throws,
rebounding and turnover margin. This analysis contains data through the 2010 NCAA Tournament.
