Red Sox History

Following an 86 year drought, the Red Sox won the World Series twice in four seasons. The Red Sox won five of the first 15 World Series played and have now won seven in their history. The Red Sox greatest player, Ted Williams, is the last player in either league to bat .400 or better in a single season. Williams batted .406 in 1946. A total of 32 players in the Hall of Fame played for the Sox at one time during their career.
